Director, Human Resources Business Partner

The successful candidate will serve as the Director, Human Resources for Global Finance, reporting to the Vice President of HR for Global Functions with a dotted line reporting to the CFO for Carrier. The incumbent will be responsible for managing our globally diverse workforce as we evolve our operating model and position for rapid growth. You will be responsible for leading and implementing the HR strategy, vision, and objectives across the global Finance function, in alignment with business goals and objectives. Drawing on your experience and creativity, you will provide HR partnership with ownership for employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, organizational development, and engagement, as we continue to drive towards an optimized HR operating model.

This is a hands-on, working leadership position with an integral role in defining and driving company culture.

 

Location: Palm Beach Gardens, Florida – onsite role

 

Key Responsibilities:

Establishes, implements, and maintains the HR strategy for Global Finance aligned with the HR function to accelerate business transformation and growth.
Contributes to and influences both short and long-term strategic initiatives,
Executes the HR aspects of strategic initiatives including organization design transformation, skills transformation, and workforce planning.
Identifies and leverages internal partnerships required to execute on strategic initiatives, building and leading formal and informal business, functional and cross-functional teams to achieve objectives within defined timeframes.
Builds relationships of trust and respect across the team to facilitate effective coaching and guidance regarding leading through significant change, talent discussions and selection and overall business execution.
Champions the HR Operating Model transformation ensuring effective change management and implementation across supported populations.
Builds effective, collaborative relationships based on clear and regular communication to ensure alignment on talent, priorities and communication, process ownership and messages are cascaded effectively across the global population.
In partnership with the Talent COE builds and implements effective global, functional talent assessment and development processes aligned with future talent needs.
Serves on the Finance leadership team to develop long-range plans while advising on people and workforce planning strategies.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
8+ years of progressive exempt-level Human Resources leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:

A graduate degree in Business or Human Resources is preferred.
Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment.
Experience working in one HR COE to include talent acquisition, labor relations, compensation and benefits, talent management, diversity and inclusion, and/or HR operations.
Experience defining, socializing, and implementing strategic HR initiatives. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
Knowledge of and experience with change management methodologies, processes, tools, and outcomes.
Experience with and ability to establish a strategy, lead, manage, influence and motivate colleagues, team members, stakeholders, and users to achieve results.
