Talent Services Manager, Learning & Development

Work you’ll do

As a member of the Talent Services Learning & Development team, you will act as a learning delivery and/or program/project management office (PMO) manager for Talent Services Development for effective and leading-edge learning and development programs that align with the Talent Learning & Development strategy to achieve desired business outcomes. Responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of projects to achieve business goals. Develop and execute an optimum delivery and/or project management strategy through collaboration with the Talent Learning & Development leaders and managers, Talent Services, Enabling Areas and business leaders, as applicable. Oversee the delivery of new learning and capability development programs and optimizes delivery resources through collaboration with Talent Learning & Development. Owns the full lifecycle of program execution. Manages resources (Specialists and Learning Operations) and provide input in program assignments to ensure the effective delivery of curriculum, programs, and processes. Ensures effective project management strategies and processes are developed and leveraged. Builds, manages, and leverages relationships with Talent, Enabling Areas and business colleagues, as applicable.

 

Partner with Talent Learning & Development Senior Managers and Managers to establish project plans and related resources and approach for national learning projects, provides process and people management oversight to deliver established learning programs.
Draft, manage and execute on program communications in collaboration with the Talent Learning & Development team and Meeting & Events Services (MES).
Manage and execute day-to-day project and program execution leading to timely delivery, quality, and compliance within the project’s scope. Execute on the full project lifecycle with strong project management skills, including the creation and monitoring of work-plans, drafting and managing communications, managing against milestones, managing prioritization, appropriately informing, defining scope, goals, and delivery processes for both live and virtual classroom deliveries.
Develop key messages to communicate and ensure national policies, programs and guidelines are followed by team and manage escalations/exceptions, as needed. Maintain awareness of internal process and practices that have significant impact on various programs.
Act as a change agent and trusted business advisor on effective and leading-edge learning and development strategies to achieve business goals.
Serve as a credible and trusted advisor on effective, leading-edge project management strategies to achieve business goals. Establish the right communications vehicles and project management tools to ensure real-time and close connection to business leaders, organizational priorities and changes.
Provide input into the annual plan and budget to execute learning and talent development activities.
Develop program plans with milestones and contingency plans as needed.
Demonstrate initiative in recommending and implementing delivery and project management process improvements to manage escalations, increase efficiency, and move learning delivery to the next level.
Evaluate program goals and objectives. Analyze data to develop, implement, and monitor process improvements to increase efficiency, and constantly moves learning to the next level.
Manage, coach, and gather feedback and data from stakeholders, for Senior Specialists and Lead Specialists.
Collaborate with other Talent Services Managers to successfully execute on the Talent Services vision. Liaise with USI and Talent Learning & Development to support the overall project and program strategy.
Identification, training and debriefing of faculty to ensure appropriate program execution.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree; Minimum 8 years of related experience
Exceptional program/project management skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Ability to think both strategically and tactically for business programs and projects supported
Strong strategic-thinking skills with an ability to collaborate with team members on Talent Services Learning best practices
Consultative approach toward clients
Sound leadership and people management skills
Proficient Microsoft Office skills
Ability to travel 25-30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Project Management Certification preferred
