PBS Biotech, Inc. is a fast-growing private company based in Camarillo, CA that manufactures and sells the most advanced single-use bioreactors for the biopharmaceutical market. We are seeking a highly motivated Executive Director of Human Resources to join us in our important mission. The Executive Director of Human Resources will directly be responsible for the Human Resources Business Partner client supporting organization. They will be directly involved in the Human Resources strategy that includes transforming the organization and enabling growth to meet expanding business needs. Assist in providing guidance and leadership with all aspects of organizational development. Assist in the review and upgrade where appropriate all internal HR systems, processes, and staff to maximize Human Resources capital opportunity as well as customer satisfaction. Advise client leaders on organization design and development, workforce planning and talent needs, align strategic imperatives and organization goals.

Working through Human Resources team to develop, guide and manage the human resources services, policies and programs for PBS Biotech including recruitment and staffing, performance management, employee and leadership development and training, regulatory compliance, employee orientation, policy development and documentation, employee relations, employee communication, compensation and benefits administration, employee activities and events, and employee wellness and health. Implement and drive a state-of-the-art working environment, ensuring employee satisfaction while providing a competitive business environment the cultivates an environment of teamwork and collaboration.

  • Assist in driving Human Resources strategy to ensure optimal performance in support of company strategy.
  • Maintain understanding of county, state, and federal laws as they pertain to organizational compliance and both short and long-term strategy.
  • Assist in the creation of Human Resources metrics and drive People excellence through meeting and exceeding goals as they relate to PBS Biotech culture and employee excellence.
  • Foster business partner relationships with BPS Biotech leaders to support direction and contribute to short and long-term strategy.
  • Working in alliance with leadership fosters a culture of strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures and ensure compliance with applicable legal provisions. Assist management with informing staff and enforcing these provisions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of benefit and compensation short and long-term strategies that ensure support of company culture and alignment with government regulations.
  • Educate and provide transparency as appropriate to all levels of the organization to foster and support an environment of trust and security.
  • Implement effective training programs that encourage retention, growth, and opportunity.
  • Support Human Resources staff to understand and manage employee relations issues, including discipline and people performance conferring on issues related to employment with PBS Biotech.
  • Provide coaching for individual leaders to improve their leadership competency.
  • Network with a variety of vendors, professional organizations, and thought leaders to stay abreast of tools, resources, and products that heighten the level of talent development within the company.
  • Work with leadership to drive the employee survey process including administration, analysis, reporting and improvement activities.
  • Strong at process management to ensure consistent application.
  • Plan and coordinate effective training programs and workshops.
  • Advise senior leaders as a business partner.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Think strategically to align development efforts with business needs.
