Spring is here across the northern hemisphere. We marked a year of enduring the COVID19 pandemic and all its professional and social costs. If you are like me, you are hopeful that vaccines and continuing safety precautions will enable most of us to get back our lives back. Also, if you are like me, you may be struggling with the malaise. The tiredness, lack of enthusiasm, and mixed emotions that come with this so-called return to normalcy.
At the beginning of the pandemic there was confusion, fear, and major behavior shifts. Through the summer and fall of 2020 we started to settle into the new normal. Now, that new normal is grinding on many of us. Things are further complicated as many organizations are transitioning again into yet another new normal. Those of us in the OD space are further challenged as our organizations and clients look to us to lead those transitions successfully.
I don’t have all the answers on the malaise. But, I did want to share that you are not alone. I want to encourage you and your teams to be mindful, have grace, and support one another. We can make it through! This is a time for OD practitioners to shine!
